Earn Rakeback on Everest

I would like to continue going over the Everest Poker download, this time focusing on their rakeback program. You will find that their VIP program is even better than some of the more popular sites out there. You earn Summit Points (SP) for playing real money poker, and the more points you earn, the more benefits you receive. When you reach the top of the VIP ladder, you’ll be getting an SP multiplier of 750% as well as $5k every month as a cash reward. This means you will be getting up to 50% rakeback!

You have to enroll yourself in the VIP Summit Club in order to participate. Go to “My Account”, click on the “VIP Summit Club” button, check the “agree” box, and click “enroll”. This differs from the Full Tilt Poker download where you are automatically enrolled in the VIP program.

I think it is time for me to tell you what can you get for all your hard work at the tables! I will now list the VIP level and their benefits.

Base Camp – You reach the tier level 1, Base Camp, once you collect 500 or more monthly Summit Points. This gets you a bonus multiplier of 250% on all the Summit Points you collect. This means that if you earn 100 Summit Points in one day, you will get an extra 250 SPs as a bonus. You can also convert your SPs to cash now. Your maximum at Base Camp is $50 for 12,500 SPs. If you refer a friend, your bonus increases to $50, and you get tickets into the weekly $1k freeroll. Just like the VIP program you get when you download PokerStars, you will receive the benefits from this level (and all other Camp levels) for one month.

Camp I – Once you reach 3,000 SPs in a month, you get placed into Camp I. This VIP level increases your SP multiplier to 500%. This time earning 100 SPs would net you a bonus of 500 SPs. You will be able to convert your SPs for up to $250 every month. The amount of SPs for the maximum bonus is 62,500. You also keep the same benefits as Base Camp players.

Camp II – If you want to become a member of Camp II, you will need to earn a minimum of 10k SPs on Everest, one of the most profitable online poker rooms online. Your bonus SP rate will increase to 600%. If you want increased rewards cash, you can get $750 for 187k SPs. As for your other benefits, they are even better at this level, and you might find that they are better than on a lot of US poker sites. Now you have access to priority customer service, you can play a $10k monthly freeroll, and if you refer a friend, you get $100.

Camp III – If you want to get into Camp III, you need to earn at least 20k SPs every month. Your SP multiplier increases as usual, although only to 650%. It is possible to earn up to $1k in bonus cash in Camp III, which is more than you get every month from a typical Roulette bonus. $1k cash will cost you 250k SPs. And, as expected, all the Camp II benefits stick around.

Learn About the Everest Interface

The Everest Poker download is a great choice for those building bankrolls for the first time. Today I plan to continue reviewing the site by moving on to its software.

As I already mentioned, the main problem with using Everest over free poker no downloads is the huge amount of memory required by the program. However, let's consider some of the other aspects of the site.

Players have come to expect seamless navigation in online poker rooms, and Everest has done a great job with their lobby and menus. They allow you to either search for the tables you want using a tabbed navigation system, or you can use the custom list to show only the exact limits that you would like to play. At least one of these options should be more than enough to suit your needs.

One of the best things about having access to the best online poker is the chance to multi-table. You will be happy to hear that Everest Poker tables are fully resizable, but as a bonus, you can also choose one of 4 resolutions for your tables! You can choose from 640x480, 800x600, 1024x728, and 1280x960. When you consider resizable tables and resolution choices, you have to admit that this download free poker site has jumped ahead of other sites in this aspect.

When it comes down to it, however, the huge resources required to run the program is a major negative. If they ever want to catch the Titan Poker download in popularity, they will need to give players the option to reduce the use of graphics while playing. You can remove the chip and card animations, but it is not a lot of help.

Try Everest

The site I talk about in this entry is the same as Tiger Gaming in that it is mostly for Europeans and Canadians. Everest Poker is filled with mostly people learning to play poker for the first time, which is perfect for building the bankroll. If you want to play NL Holdem, the stakes start at $0.10 - $0.10, and you can progress up to the highest stake of $50 - $50. Most people won’t need to play any lower or higher than the stakes available here, and people needing something lower or higher will need to look at other online poker rooms. By the way, that was not a typo up there. For some reason all NLHE stakes are listed as the same number twice, but this is in fact the number of the big blind. The small blind is then half either of the numbers (since they’re both the same). I thought you should know that before you make the download and spend half your night being confused.

You’ll be pleased to know that the Limit stakes are stated quite normally. They offer $0.02 - $0.04 and the highest stakes are $50 - $100. Once again, this won't suit the players with the biggest bankrolls. Sit-n-Go’s, on the other hand, can be entered at stakes as low as $0.04 + $0.01 and progress up to a fairly large $500 + $30. I have already stated that, similar to Tiger Gaming, Everest Poker is not on the US friendly poker sites list. In addition to the U.S., players from Russia and China are also not allowed on Everest.

The Everest Poker download has expanded considerably since coming into the poker world, working extremely hard to establish themselves as the preferred way to download free poker. Unlike a lot of new poker sites, they chose to create their very own Everest Network rather than become a skin of another site. The Everest Network is currently the 6th most popular poker network online. Everest is actually a great place to begin with money poker sites.

As with all sites, there are still a few downsides. For example, Everest offers just Holdem or Omaha which is disappointing because most online rooms these days feature at least some Stud varieties. Also, unless you have a newer computer, you may find yourself getting irritated as the software eats up more memory than a Full Tilt download. When it’s all said and done, however, there is a good chance you'll see that the pros outweigh the cons on Everest Poker.

Interface on Tiger Gaming

It is unfortunate that Tiger Gaming cannot be played in the USA, but they are still a great choice for those in Canada or in Europe. They recently updated their software recently to include many great features. Before the update, they were definitely missing some key features that make online poker a positive playing experience.

When playing at Tiger Gaming tables, you can now view hand histories instantly. They also added some key multi-tabling features: resizable tables and the ability to play up to 30 at once (rather than just 4). Furthermore, you can view some basic stats right at the table, which is a nice feature.

When you are playing, you will notice the usual advance action buttons. I noticed that compared to other online poker rooms, the No Limit games do not have two common advance action options: "call any" and "raise any". This is very nice because you can lose a lot of money in No Limit if they get hit by mistake.

Regarding table chat, you can opt to see dealer chat, player chat, both, or neither. And like top rooms such as the Titanpoker download, there’s a four color deck option which aids multi-tablers and prevents mix ups with suits.

One odd feature of the software is that when you want to bet, you have to press the “bet other” button to bet greater than the minimum. Pressing this button brings up a pop up where you can bet as much as you want. While it sounds like an annoying extra step, it’s actually not bad, although the fact that it is set to automatically bet the pot will irk a few people. This is can be either good or bad depending on the situation. For example, some casinos for USA players see several people bet less than half the pot because there is no “bet pot” option, but the same players would just bet the pot at Tiger because it is so convenient. This, in turn, destroys your odds at drawing and you have to fold. There are times, however, when pot sized bets are not optimal, and this is when it’s beneficial to you.

Another difference from many of the top Texas Holdem sites is that people can leave their table after winning a big pot, and then they can buy back in for any amount right after. Many players greatly disapprove of sites that allow this since “ratholing” is heavily frowned upon.

Tiger also has different maximums and minimums at their cash game tables. Instead of a normal 100BB maximum-10BB minimum, Tiger has a 40-50BB minimum (changes at different stakes) and the normal 100BB maximum. This is a good feature since it keeps the table full of players with money and keeps the guys who buy-in very short away from the table (they can go clear a Roulette bonus).

Combined with my previous entry, my writing today should help you figure out whether or not you want to play in this room. Even if you don’t think Tiger is one of the best sites online for poker, it’s at least better than free bet sportsbooks. Thanks for reading my blog today; I’ll be back next month.

Build a Bankroll at Tiger Gaming

Thanks for coming to my new site! Every couple of weeks I will write an article about something related to online poker. In this post I will write about Tiger Gaming, one of the sites on Action Poker. Please note that this site does not accept wagers from Americans.

The designers at Tiger Gaming did well to create a site that’s easy to navigate and nice to look at. Similar to the PokerStars bonus code, there is a large deposit bonus and it is not too hard to earn. You should find the customer support helpful during times of need. What makes Tiger Gaming unique from other sites is that it hosts some special games that you won’t find on any other site. Included in these games are Guts, Big 2, Chinese Poker, and Pan. You won’t find Internet slots here, but the other games are so fun that you won’t want to waste your time with casino games anymore.

You will, of course, also find poker at this site. Tiger Gaming has Limit and No Limit Holdem, Omaha and, when the tables fill, 7 Card Stud.

Tiger Gaming has opted to focus their advertising in Canada, encouraging consumers to try online poker in commercials on various TV networks. Presumably they considered Canada a good place to recruit players to money poker sites. The aggressive campaign is still going on and has resulted in a poker site full of Canadians, many of whom really can't play poker well at all.

Sometimes you’ll find there aren’t that many games running, especially at 50NL+ and 1/2+. But if you are a low stakes player just getting started on download free poker sites, finding a table at $2 NL up to $25 NL is usually very easy. It is common for there to be between three and six NL25 tables open and between four and eight NL5 tables. The same can’t be said for finding 50NL tables. You will usually only find one table, maybe two if it’s your lucky day. Those looking for 100NL will be even more disappointed. It is a rare day when there is a 100NL table available. The site does offer stakes up to $1000NL but I have never seen the game actually happen, so if you want stakes that high, you should download Full Tilt Poker.

I will just go ahead and tell you that the traffic for the other games is pretty awful. 7 Card Stud is available for those interested, but its tables remain empty day after day. Omaha is almost as bad. At most you will find one or two tables filled, usually of the 0.1/0.2 pot-limit variety. If your game of choice is not Texas Holdem, it might be better to download PokerStars instead. As for the exotic games, you’ll almost for sure find them running during peak hours. As Tiger is the only place you can play them, the player base is more reliable. My favorite game, Guts, typically runs two or three tables at once, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.

To sum it up, the player base on Tiger Gaming is okay if you are a lower stakes player, but it’s also nothing to write home about. If you’re new to poker, I would recommend that you start your bankroll at Tiger and then you can go for a Bwin Poker download once you’re ready to move up in stakes.
